Imbe is a South African born swimwear and resort wear brand. 'Imbe', derived from the Tshivenda word 'Imbelani' meaning to sing or praise, represents a celebration of African women's diversity and beauty. The brand's purpose is to empower women of all shapes and sizes to feel unapologetically good in swimwear and resort wear. Co-founded with Shudufhadzo Musida, Miss South Africa 2020 and a mental health advocate, alongside Colleen Murray, founder of sustainable swimwear brand Lily Label, and Thithi Nteta, a seasoned marketing and communications professional, Imbe seeks to redefine beauty standards and inspire confidence in women.
By offering a range of swimwear and resort wear produced locally through ethical manufacturing, Imbe ensures that women can make mindful choices when shopping online or in-store, allowing our customers to feel happy and positive when purchasing from Imbe.

Imbe is brainchild of Shudu, Imbe would not be here today had Shudu not dreamt it into existence. Her focus includes; enhancing the brand image and managing PR, fostering partnerships, boosting brand visibility, and collaborating closely with the Imbe team on day-to-day operations such as product development and marketing strategies. Shudu has a very hands on approach at Imbe, there isn't a single area she is not involved in. Any role that needs to filled, Shudu is there. And we so appreciate her for that!

Colleen is involved in whatever needs doing, from operations to design, she has learnt to be a jack of all trades. This is Colleens' second swimwear venture. And we are so happy to have her onboard!
