imbe press and partnerships
Imbe proudly joined forces with 'Miss South Africa' by designing a swimwear range for their 'Crown Chasers' TV show, which aired on the 17th of July 2023, on SABC 3. This collaboration holds special significance as our co-founder, Shudufhadzo Musida, was crowned Miss South Africa 2020. It marked a poignant full-circle moment, highlighting the empowerment of women through a platform that resonates with our journey.
Our involvement in this celebration goes beyond mere sponsorship – it underscores the essence of providing women with the space to amplify their voices, celebrate their bodies, and embrace their femininity. The swimwear showcased in this episode is a product of conversations aimed at dismantling stereotypes and embracing the beauty of all body types.
Notably, the episode garnered over 500,000 viewers on the night it aired, a testament to the widespread impact of the celebration of women, their voices, and their diverse beauty. Imbe remains dedicated to redefining swimwear, offering a collection that embodies the spirit of empowerment, embracing every curve, and celebrating the beauty of women from all walks of life.
Imbe collaborated with Woolworths SA, for a pop-up in five major retail stores across South Africa. Those stores included: Sandton, V&A, Canal Walk, Menlyn, and Gateway. The pop-up began mid-September and ended December 31st 2023. The pop-up was our official launch and it was a wonderful opportunity for reach women across South Africa that love, and want to celebrate, their bodies.
Shudu appeared on Expresso to highlight Imbe's dynamic collaboration with Woolworths, featuring a captivating display of Imbe products showcased on diverse models, emphasising the origins of our partnership, the significance of representation, and the overarching vision of Imbe within the realm of inclusivity.
